Dr. Angelika Sodian is an esteemed colleague of mine and was supposed to be in Turkey to be a guest speaker at FARKLABS, if the coronavirus had not forced us to cancel this trip. I listened to one of her lectures in Germany and immediately thought that these are the kinds of learning experiences we need. I was already quite obsessed with learning from China, but reading Angelika’s book made me realise that companies need to systematise their learning.
Dr. Sodian published her new book “In the Year of the Tiger – Why it is not too late to learn from China” during the Chinese New Year (late January), when the coronavirus was only just appearing on our horizon….

Automotive, roba da uomini. Forse. Suscita ancora un po’ di clamore se una signora prende i comandi. L’ultima, in ordine di tempo, è Robyn Denholm, chiamata a sostituire un Elon Musk in crisi d’identità alla presidenza di Tesla. Il passaggio di consegne era atteso, dopo le accuse di frode, non l’arrivo di una manager bionda.

Eigentlich waren zwei Dinge klar für Angelika Sodian. Sie wollte nicht wieder in einer Firma angestellt werden, sondern mit ihrem Beratungsunternehmen selbstständig bleiben. Und sie wollte nicht aus Schanghai, wo die promovierte Betriebswirtin fünf Jahre lang deutschsprachige Zulieferer der Autoindustrie beim Aufbau ihrer Filialen in China beraten hatte, zurück nach Europa.
